Paula Radcliffe, a four-time Olympian from Britain, earned the Six Star Medal after finishing the Boston Marathon.

Radcliffe, who is 51 years old, completed the race on Monday in 2 hours, 53 minutes, and 44 seconds. She placed 117th out of 12,447 women who took part.

The Six Star Medal is given to runners who complete all six major world marathons: Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City.

Radcliffe retired from competitive racing in 2015. In March, she ran her first marathon in 10 years when she completed the Tokyo Marathon.

She held the women’s marathon world record from 2003 to 2019 with a time of 2:15:25, which was later beaten by Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei.

Radcliffe won the London and New York City marathons three times each and also won in Chicago in 2002.

Her first international win was in Boston in 1992, when she took gold in the junior race at the World Cross Country Championships.

In Monday’s race, Sharon Lokedi from Kenya won the women’s event in 2:17:22, breaking the previous course record by more than two and a half minutes.

The men’s race was also won by a Kenyan, John Korir, who finished in 2:04:45.
