Rishad Hossain had a good start with the ball in his first three matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). His leg-spin bowling helped Lahore in the early games. However, in the fourth match against Peshawar Zalmi, things did not go well for him.

Rishad bowled two overs and gave away 18 runs without taking any wickets. His batting also did not impress. Because of his poor performance, the Lahore team management decided to leave him out for the next match against Multan Sultans.

PSL: Even without Rishad, Lahore did not face much trouble. They played strong and defeated Multan Sultans by 5 wickets in their second meeting of the season. Earlier in the tournament, Multan had beaten Lahore by 33 runs. This time, Lahore got their revenge and climbed up to second place in the points table.

Multan Sultans batted first at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Their captain, Mohammad Rizwan, led from the front and stayed unbeaten with 76 runs from 48 balls. Kamran Ghulam also played well, scoring 50 runs off 31 balls without getting out.

Other contributions included Yasir Khan’s quick 28 off 18 balls and Usman Khan’s 18 runs off 14 balls. Thanks to these strong performances, Multan put up a big total of 185 runs for the loss of only 3 wickets.

Sikandar Raja stayed till the end. He remained unbeaten with a quick 40 runs from just 21 balls. Asif Ali, who came in after Mitchell’s dismissal, finished the match with a single run from one ball. Together, they helped Lahore cross the target with 6 balls and 5 wickets to spare.

Earlier in the innings, Lahore’s openers gave a good start. Abdullah Shafiq made 34 runs from 25 balls, while Fakhar Zaman scored 28 runs from 22 balls. Their early runs set the stage for the middle-order to chase the big score comfortably.
