Novak Djokovic defeated American Sebastian Korda in a rescheduled match to reach the Miami Open semi-finals.

The world number five fought back in the second set after trailing to secure a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win.

At 37, Djokovic is the oldest player to reach an ATP Masters 1,000 semi-final and aims for his seventh Miami title.

The match, originally set for Wednesday, was delayed due to Emma Raducanu’s late quarter-final finish.

Djokovic expressed frustration over the delay but was glad to win. He will face 14th seed Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-finals.

Novak Djokovic reached his first Miami Open semi-final since 2016. With top players like Carlos Alcaraz, Jack Draper, and Daniil Medvedev already out, he has a strong chance to win another title.

Djokovic won the first set comfortably by breaking his opponent’s serve in the eighth game. However, the second set was much tougher. He was trailing 5-2 but fought back with strong serving to force a tie-break and secure the victory.

“This was my best serving performance so far,” Djokovic said. “Korda is aggressive and unpredictable, so I had to stay focused. It was a tense match, but I’m happy with my game.”

Earlier, Czech player Jakub Mensik defeated 17th seed Arthur Fils 7-6 (7-5) 6-1 and will face American Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals. Fritz won a hard-fought match against Matteo Berrettini, 7-5 6-7 (7-9) 7-5.
