Brazilian football legend Kaka could soon be back with the national team, not as a player this time, but in a new role. According to reports from CNN Brazil, Carlo Ancelotti, the future head coach of Brazil, wants Kaka to join him as an assistant coach. This news has excited Brazilian football fans around the world.

The news was first shared by CNN Brazil’s Benjamin Back, who said that Carlo Ancelotti, the current Real Madrid coach, will take over the Brazil national team. Ancelotti has already spoken to Ricardo about working together again.

Ancelotti and Ricardo share a strong history. They won the Champions League, Serie A, and other big trophies together at AC Milan. Under Ancelotti’s guidance, Kaka also won the Ballon d’Or in 2007. This bond and mutual respect are why Ancelotti sees Kaka as a perfect fit for his Brazil coaching team.

Kaka Confirms Interest in Joining the National Team

It was a rumor at first, but now Ricardo himself has spoken. He said he is “ready” to help Brazil in the 2026 World Cup if given the chance.

“If the team thinks I can help in some way, I think the time is now. I’m ready,”
Ricardo said in an interview with Brazilian YouTube channel ‘Cage TV’.

Ricardo also explained how he has been preparing for this role since retiring from football in 2017. He took a sports business course at Harvard, completed a coaching course with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), and has past World Cup experience as a player. He believes all of this makes him ready to take on the new challenge.

Ancelotti to Begin Brazil Coaching Job This Month

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) officially confirmed on May 12 that Carlo Ancelotti will be the next head coach of the national team. He will leave Real Madrid and begin working with Brazil on May 26.

According to ESPN, Ancelotti’s contract will last until the end of the 2026 World Cup, with an option to extend. His first goal will be to qualify Brazil for the World Cup. Brazil’s upcoming qualifying matches are:

  • June 6: Brazil vs Ecuador
  • June 11: Brazil vs Paraguay

Brazil is currently 4th in the South American qualifiers with 21 points from 14 matches. Argentina has already qualified, but Brazil still needs more points to secure their spot. Under the new rules for the 2026 World Cup, six South American teams will qualify directly, and the 7th place team will go to the playoffs.

Brazil’s Hope for a Better Future

Fans are excited to see what the future holds for Brazil with Ancelotti and possibly Kaka on the coaching bench. With Kaka’s experience as a World Cup-winning player and Ancelotti’s success as a coach, Brazil hopes to become world champions again in 2026.

Whether or not Kaka officially joins the team, his readiness shows his deep love for Brazil and passion for football. The nation now waits to see if this exciting football reunion will happen soon.
