Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain made a memorable impact in his Pakistan Super League debut for Lahore Qalandars. After being left out of the first match an 8-wicket loss to Islamabad United Rishad was given a chance against Quetta Gladiators and seized the opportunity brilliantly.

In Lahore’s emphatic 79-run win, Rishad delivered a match-winning spell, claiming 3 wickets for 31 runs in his 4 overs. His scalps included key Quetta batters Rilee Rossouw (44), Mohammad Amir, and Abrar Ahmed. His performance stood out even among big names like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Asif Afridi, and Sikandar Raza, who picked up two wickets each.

Batting first at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Lahore posted an imposing 219/6. Fakhar Zaman led the way with a 39-ball 67, Sam Billings added a quickfire unbeaten 50 off 19, and both Abdullah Shafique and Daryl Mitchell contributed 37 runs.

Quetta never found momentum in their chase and were bowled out for 140 in 16.2 overs. While Fakhar earned Player of the Match honors, it was Rishad Hossain’s impactful debut spell that played a major role in Lahore’s first win of the PSL season.
