Real Madrid shocked fans by spending 8 billion taka on a single defender. This massive deal has everyone asking what makes him so special? From skills to future potential, here’s why the club thinks he’s worth every penny.
Real Madrid Makes Big Move for Future Defender

Spanish Club Buys Dean Hausen for £50 Million
For the past few days, rumors were going around that Real Madrid was going to sign a young and talented defender. Now it’s official. Real Madrid has bought 20-year-old Dean Hausen from Bournemouth for £50 million. In Bangladeshi currency, that is about 8 billion taka.
Hausen is one of the most exciting young defenders in football right now. Even though he only spent one season at English Premier League club Bournemouth, his strong performance caught the attention of many top teams, including Real Madrid.
Real Madrid Confirms the Signing
Real Madrid released a statement saying:
“Real Madrid has reached an agreement with Bournemouth for the purchase of Dean Hausen. He will be with us for the next five seasons, from 1 June 2025 to 30 June 2030.”
Bournemouth also confirmed the transfer. They said Los Blancos paid the full release clause of £50 million to sign the player. This is a big success for Bournemouth, who only bought Hausen from Juventus last year for £12.8 million.
But Bournemouth won’t be the only team to benefit. Two of Hausen’s former clubs, Juventus and Malaga, will also receive a share of the transfer fee as part of the agreement.
Who Is Dean Hausen?

Dean Hausen was born in the Netherlands but moved to Spain when he was just five years old. He started playing football in the youth academy of Malaga, a Spanish club.
At first, Hausen played for the Netherlands youth national teams. Later, he chose to play for Spain. His debut match for the Spanish senior team was against the Netherlands—his birth country.
Hausen impressed fans and coaches with his performance. He helped Spain win that match and later reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League.
A Big Opportunity for a Young Star

Ready to Play for Real Madrid Soon
Even though Hausen officially joins Los Blancos on June 1, fans won’t have to wait long to see him in action. He will play for Los Blancos at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Madrid’s first match will be against Al Hilal in Miami on June 18. Hausen will wear the famous white jersey and could make his debut in that game.
Why Real Madrid Needed a Defender
Defensive Problems Last Season
Last season, Real Madrid had many problems in defense. Two important defenders—Éder Militão and Dani Carvajal—missed many matches due to injuries. Because of this, the team lost 14 games in all competitions and did not win any major trophies.
To fix this, the club decided to invest early and bring in new talent. That’s why they signed Dean Hausen.
What Makes Hausen Special?
Hausen is not only strong in defense but also helps in attack. He is good in the air, strong in one-on-one situations, and confident with the ball at his feet. He can make long passes and help start attacks from the back—just what Real Madrid needs.
Real Madrid’s coach Carlo Ancelotti praised him, saying:
“He is a great player. He has great potential. It is a very good signing for Real Madrid.”
Even though Ancelotti will leave Madrid soon, he made sure to bring in Hausen before leaving.
A New Era Begins for Real Madrid
With this expensive transfer, Real Madrid is building for the future. Hausen is expected to be a key player for the next five years, and fans are excited to see how he grows. The big price tag shows just how much trust Madrid has in this young defender.
