Sunrisers Hyderabad, currently last in the standings, bowled out Chennai Super Kings (who are in 10th place) for just 154 runs. This means Hyderabad, in 9th place, needs 155 runs to win.

Chennai, who won the toss and chose to bat first at the MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium, had a rough start. They lost opener Sheikh Rashid for just 1 run when hgge was caught by Abhishek Sharma at slips off Mohammed Shami’s first ball of the innings.

Ayush Maharte and Sam Karen tried to steady the ship, putting together a 39-run partnership for the second wicket. But Karen was dismissed for just 6 runs off 10 balls, and Maharte followed soon after for 30 runs off 19 balls. By the time the third wicket fell, Chennai was struggling at 47 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja couldn’t make much of an impact, scoring 21 runs off 17 balls. Dewald Brevis, however, gave Chennai some hope by scoring the highest of their innings 42 runs off 25 balls.

With Chennai at 137 for 9, Deepak Hooda fought hard at the end, scoring 22 runs off 21 balls. However, Chennai’s innings came to a close in just 19.4 overs, leaving them with a target of 155 runs.
